Response to Dusík and Bond

Dusík and Bond introduce the EU taxonomy on green finance as an opportunity to kick off much-needed revolution in environmental impact assessment (EIA). The persistent weaknesses of EIA lead negative trade-offs between social, economic, domains. In my response, I attribute apparent weakness processes society, not so much instrument itself. Weaknesses that may hinder implementation well. Yet, there seems be a window move from limited flawed ‘do harm’ approach transition-focused good’ approach. provides way forward, has potential avoid becoming washing instrument. But it is community take necessary steps; financial world will look for help.
